The Restoration Times

This looks to be a pretty good assesment. I always
knew "something happened," but no one every clarified
it like this.

As some of you know, for the last several years I have
been doing massive amounts of study into ancient
manuscripts, discovering many interesting facts and
long forgotten information. I will, at some point
soon, begin to explain some of this, as it is
beginning to form a coherent pattern.

Those who are somewhat acquanted with God's Truth have
a general idea of what is happening here, but much
information from the past, including former books of
the Bible like the Book of Enoch, has been brutally
suppressed and hidden from view, because, like bread
crumbs, they leave a trail to knowledge that those in
power in this world do not want the comman man or
woman to discover.

Thaks to the internet, hiding these truths is now
becoming impossible, but there is much error and many
wrong turns along the way. However, one who
understand the broad outline of God's Truth can
usually tell what is true from what is not, and is
thus able to separate the wheat from the chaff. I am
also convinced that, as it says in one passage from an
anceint book I have just discovered and found, that if
you seek after knowledge that God will eventually see
to it that you find what you seek, many times in a way
and in a moment that you are not looking for it.

This is what happened last night while I was listening
to one of Jim McCanney's shows. He has started a new
segment on his show reading a few passages from a very
ancient and brutally suppressed book I did not even
know existed called the Kolbrin.

I searched and finally found a place where most of the
Kolbrin is available on the internet -- in fact it
appears to be the only source, this book is so rare:

Upon a very fast and cursory examination, portions of
this book, if not the whole thing [this will require
quite some time and lots of study] appear to be the
"lost" parts of the Bible along with Enoch and a few
others, that fill in the gaps and holes that our
present Bible has, due to carefull editing by the
Catholic Church and others so that some of the
stronger parts of the Truth could barely be seen if at
all.

Just as one example, the subject of The Destroyer,
which will be the harbinger of the End of this Age as
it has been in ages past, is discussed in some detail,
and fills in some of the gaps that are in Bible
prophecy and history.

This Destroyer is known to our times as, variously,
Planet X or Nibiru, among other names [unless we are
confused between The Destroyer and another object that
follows it, as has been hinted at in some of the
passages I have just read]. This Destroyer has
brought devastation to this earth over and over again
through history, and has brought each age of man to a
close, with great destruction most of the time.

This is why the Bible says that men will see a
dreadful sight in the heavens that will make man
tremble and shake, and run into the caves to hide
themselves from it, even begging the stones themselves
to fall upon them and kill them for fear of what they
see approaching in the heavens.

This object is The Destroyer. Our government has
found the Destroyer, and knows of its approach, but
refuses to warn the public about it. This is probably
because they want ot maintain control of our lives
until the last minute, and they cannot bear to think
or comprehend that the end of Satan's and their rule
upon this planet approachs fast. So, instead of
informing people as is their job, instead, they say
that they will protect the "elite" and "chosen ones"
in undergrund cities we all helped build, so that
after the disaster, they plan to emerge with superior
weaponry so that they can completely dominate the
after disaster world.

But this plan will, of course, like all the others of
Satan's plots, fail.

Here is the interesting excerpt from the Kolbrin,
notice how true this rings:

Here's a little ancient history about Planet X from
the Kolbrin
book, which Jesus is said to have studied.

The passing of the 12th in the past is mentioned in a
book from New
Zealand. The book is called The Kolbrin and compiled
of manuscripts
saved before the burning of Glastonbury Monastery and
safeguarded by
a group called "The Culdians". The present work was
published in
1994 here in Thames by The Culdians and the
translation appears in
modern English. It is a parallel bible, but
interestingly has more
detail on certain accounts such as The Flood and
Exodus. It names
The Destroyer as precipitating both events and there
are many pages
describing the terrible events to come. Although no
dates are
mentioned, there can be no doubt that it will be soon.


Chapter Four, titled The Deluge from The Book of
Gleanings,
Paragraph 24

Then, with the dawning, men saw an awesome sight.
There, riding on a
black rolling cloud came the Destroyer, newly released
from the
confines of the sky vaults, and she raged about the
heavens, for it
was her day of judgment. The beast with her opened its
mouth and
belched forth fire and hot stones and a vile smoke. It
covered the
whole sky above and the meeting place of Earth and
heaven could no
longer be seen. In the evening the places of the stars
were changed,
they rolled across the sky to new stations, then the
floodwaters
came.

The floodgates of Heaven were opened and the
foundations of Earth
were broken apart. The surrounding waters poured over
the land and
broke upon the mountains. The storehouses of the winds
burst their
bolts asunder, so storms and whirlwinds were loosed,
to hurl
themselves upon the Earth. In the seething waters and
howling gales
all buildings were destroyed, trees were uprooted and
mountains cast
down. There was a time of great heat, then came a
bitter cold. The
waves over the waters did not rise and fall but
seethed and swirled,
there was an awful sound above.
Four more paragraphs to the end of the chapter,
describe how the
stars were loosened in the Heavens. A ship that had
been built been
borne up by the waters. The waters filling the valleys
and going
over the mountain tops in huge surging torrents. The
Destroyer then
passes, the flood remains for seven days and the ship
finally comes
to rest in the mountains of Ashtar. And here is
described the last
passage of the 12th Planet at the time of the Exodus.
Book of
Manuscripts,

The Destroyer Part 3 from the scroll of Adepha,
Chapter 5, Para 1:

The Doomshape, called the Destroyer,in Egypt,was seen
in all the
lands thereabouts. In colour it was bright and fiery,
in appearance
changing and unstable. It twisted about itself like a
coil, like
water bubbling into a pool from an underground supply,
and all men
agree it was a most fearsome sight. It was not a great
comet or a
loosened star, being more like a fiery body of flame.

Para 4:

This was the aspect of the Doomshape called the
Destroyer, when it
appeared in days long gone by, in
olden times. It is thus described in the old records,
few of which
remain. It is said that when it appears in the Heavens
above, Earth
splits open from the heat, like a nut roasted before
the fire. Then
flames shoot up through the surface and leap about
like fiery fiends
upon black blood. The moisture inside the land is all
dried up, the
pastures and cultivated places are consumed in flames
and they and
all trees become white ashes.

Chapter 6, Para 31:

There was a strange silence and then, in the gloom, it
was seen that
the waters had parted, leaving a passage between. The
land had
risen, but it was disturbed and trembled, the way was
not straight
or clear. The waters about were if spun within a bowl,
the swamp
land alone remained undisturbed. From the horn of the
Destroyer came
a high shrilling noise which stopped the ears of men.

Para 29

Pharoah fought against the hindmost of the slaves and
prevailed over
them, and there was a great slaughter amid the sand,
the swamp and
the water.

Para 37

The great surge of rocks and waters overwhelmed the
chariots of the
Egyptians who went before the footmen. The chariot of
the Pharoah
was hurled into the air as if by a mighty hand and was
crushed in
the midst of the rolling waters.
There is much description of massive upheaval in this
chapter caused
by The Destroyer leaving no doubt that the Slaves only
managed to
escape during a time of great chaos in the fermenting
landscape.
Then, about the future:

Chapter 3 The Destroyer Part 1, from the Great Scroll,

Para 1:

Men forget the days of the Destroyer. Only the wise
know where it
went and that it will return in its appointed hour.

Para 3:

When ages pass, certain laws operate upon the stars in
the Heavens.
Their ways change, there is movement and restlessness,
they are no
longer constant and a great light appears redly in the
skies.

Para 4:

When blood drops upon the earth, the Destroyer will
appear and
mountains will open up and belch forth fire and ashes.
Trees will be
destroyed and all living things engulfed. Waters will
be swallowed
up by the land and seas will boil.
The timing for this event will be when "women will be
as men and men
as women", "men will fly in the air as birds and swim
in the sea as
fishes", "then shall the high strive with the low"
etc, etc. There
follows a depiction of the effects of The Destroyer
this time around
which is poetic and terrifying, i.e. "when children
will turn grey
headed".

Turkey, as many of you should know, is very worried
about the Kurds in Northern Iraq. In case you don't
know, the Kurds are a dispossesed people who hope to
someday be reunited in their own sovereign country.

Unfortuantely, their homeland is divided between
Turkey, Syria, Iraq, and Iran. Those who drew
arbitrary national boundaries in the Middle East took
no account of this people when they made the above
national boundaries.

But the chaos created by the US's meddling in Iraq has
given the Kurds new hope and an opportunity for their
cherished dreams to come true. They are using Kurdish
territory in Iraq as the base for this plan.

With Iraq getting ready to fragment and splinter is
several different directions despite US efforts, this
is a viable strategy for them. And now that the Sunni
muslims have withdrawn from the Iraqi government, this
is even more a possibility.

The joke called the "Iraqi government" by the US
really only controls parts of Baghdad [not even the
whole thing], and whatever area the US military
decides to invade in that day. But they control
little else, which gives the Kurds their chance.

Turkey is very worried about Kurdish ambitions
spilling over onto its side of the border, and, to
keep a lid on the situation since the US is not, they
have come up with their own Iraq invasion plan if the
need arises [and why not? Turkey has as much right to
unilaterally invade Iraq as did the US and Britain,
and they can use the same "terrorism" excuse! Also,
Turkey is part of NATO, and has a huge military, so
the chances of the US forcefully stopping them are
fairly small, if not impossible. The Pandorrah's box
of war has been opened now in the Mideast, and it is
doubtful it will be closed anytime soon].

However, this is also a sign of the degeneration of
the nation state in the months and years ahead. The
nation state is an archaic concept, and is dissolving
right before our very eyes if we only have the wisdom
to see. All a Turkish intervention will do in the
long run is make the Kurds thorughout the Mideast ever
more determined to "fight the oppressors," no matter
what "nation" they are located in, which will add to
the general chaos and instability of the entire
region.

It will only be a matter of time before the Kurds and
others with their cheap, sholder launched missiles
shoot down too many attack helicopters, destroy enough
tanks, and kill enough soldiers in hit and run attacks
for Turkey to pay the price. The time of easy power
projection and domination by the nation state is over.
When you can destroy a very expensive asset like an
attack helicopter with a relatively "cheap" weapon,
then the whole equation of power projection and
domination shifts in favor of the "insurgents."

I believe the world is soon to be trated to this
bitter lesson.

Watch for lots more "fun" in the Mideast shortly than
you ever thought possible.

Just as predicted, the increased solar activity is
causing problems for electronics all over the world.

Two days ago, my cell phone was threatening to
discharge EVEN WHEN PLUGGED INTO THE WALL! Cel phone
batteries and other battery operated devices are
greatly impacted by all of this.

If it gets any worse, there could be blackouts and a
collapse of some power grids.

Before this is all over, we may discover just how
vulnerable our so called "civilization" is to solar
activity and other "acts of nature."

There seems to be a definite relationsip between
earthquakes, freak weather, volcanic eruptions, and
increased solar activity. We are seeing it all right
now, with the sun firing off another rare x class
flare just hours ago! The effects will reach earth
within 24-72 hours, and this comes on top of activity
earlier this week which we are now feeling the effects
of.

Also, the KP index is going off the scale.

Folks, this is not normal, as we are supposed to be in
a solar minimum right now.

This is probably all being casued by an influx of
objects coming from the Southern part of the solar
system from the sun's perspective. Recent meteor
showers this year and some comets have come from this
same direction, and these objects are veiwable at a
distance only from Antarctica, where loads of
astronomers have been sent over the past few years.

But the main show will be a very massive object, that
is due for a flyby sometime between now and 2012, and
the governments don't want to discuss these issues as
they are afraid it will cause massive panic.

This is why the Bible tells us to look to the "signs
in the heavens" and we will know that the end times
are upon us.

It will culminate with an event so horrific that "men
will hide themselves in the caves of the earth" and
"call for the rocks to fall on them" for fear of what
they will see headed this way.

These are only the very FIRST signs of much more to
come. And if the sun, weather, and seismic activity
is acting up so badly NOW, just imagine how it will be
as this increases over time!

Just two hours ago, a new and larger X-Class flare has
fired off. It most likely came from sunspot region
696. There has been a steady stream of charged
particles hitting the Earth’s magnetic field. So many
solar explosions have occurred, it is difficult to
tell where one stops and the other starts. It is yet
unknown as to the damage caused by such a stream of
electric charges to our magnetic field, but it is well
known we are in the period of a weakening field which
is part of a natural cycle and the precursor to a
magnetic pole shift. Some in the solar science field
believe it is possible we will witness this event in
our lifetime.

Watch for continued "extreme weather" occurrence which
involves record breaking weather. On a lighter note,
watch for beautiful auroras in the mid-latitude
states.

A word to the reader: The following paper is so
shocking that, after preparing the initial draft, I
didn't want to believe it myself, and resolved to
disprove it with more research. However, I only
succeeded in turning up more evidence in support of my
thesis. And I repeated this cycle of discovery and
denial several more times before finally deciding to
go with the article. I believe that a serious writer
must follow the trail of evidence, no matter where it
leads, and report back. So here is my story. Don't be
surprised if it causes you to squirm. Its purpose is
not to make predictions history makes fools of those
who claim to know the future but simply to describe
the peril that awaits us in the Persian Gulf. By
awakening to the extent of that danger, perhaps we can
still find a way to save our nation and the world from
disaster. If we are very lucky, we might even create
an alternative future that holds some promise of
resolving the monumental conflicts of our time. --MG

Last July, they dubbed it operation Summer Pulse: a
simultaneous mustering of US Naval forces, world wide,
that was unprecedented. According to the Navy, it was
the first exercise of its new Fleet Response Plan
(FRP), the purpose of which was to enable the Navy to
respond quickly to an international crisis. The Navy
wanted to show its increased force readiness, that is,
its capacity to rapidly move combat power to any
global hot spot. Never in the history of the US Navy
had so many carrier battle groups been involved in a
single operation. Even the US fleet massed in the Gulf
and eastern Mediterranean during operation Desert
Storm in 1991, and in the recent invasion of Iraq,
never exceeded six battle groups. But last July and
August there were seven of them on the move, each
battle group consisting of a Nimitz-class aircraft
carrier with its full complement of 7-8 supporting
ships, and 70 or more assorted aircraft. Most of the
activity, according to various reports, was in the
Pacific, where the fleet participated in joint
exercises with the Taiwanese navy.

But why so much naval power underway at the same time?
What potential world crisis could possibly require
more battle groups than were deployed during the
recent invasion of Iraq? In past years, when the US
has seen fit to "show the flag" or flex its naval
muscle, one or two carrier groups have sufficed. Why
this global show of power? The news headlines about
the joint-maneuvers in the South China Sea read:
"Saber Rattling Unnerves China", and: "Huge Show of
Force Worries Chinese." But the reality was quite
different, and, as we shall see, has grave
ramifications for the continuing US military presence
in the Persian Gulf; because operation Summer Pulse
reflected a high-level Pentagon decision that an
unprecedented show of strength was needed to counter
what is viewed as a growing threat in the particular
case of China, because of Peking's newest
Sovremenny-class destroyers recently acquired from
Russia.

"Nonsense!" you are probably thinking. That's
impossible. How could a few picayune destroyers
threaten the US Pacific fleet?" Here is where the
story thickens: Summer Pulse amounted to a tacit
acknowledgement, obvious to anyone paying attention,
that the United States has been eclipsed in an
important area of military technology, and that this
qualitative edge is now being wielded by others,
including the Chinese; because those otherwise very
ordinary destroyers were, in fact, launching platforms
for Russian-made 3M-82 Moskit anti-ship cruise
missiles (NATO designation: SS-N-22 Sunburn), a weapon
for which the US Navy currently has no defense. Here I
am not suggesting that the US status of lone world
Superpower has been surpassed. I am simply saying that
a new global balance of power is emerging, in which
other individual states may, on occasion, achieve "an
asymmetric advantage" over the US. And this, in my
view, explains the immense scale of Summer Pulse. The
US show last summer of overwhelming strength was
calculated to send a message.

The Sunburn Missile

I was shocked when I learned the facts about these
Russian-made cruise missiles. The problem is that so
many of us suffer from two common misperceptions. The
first follows from our assumption that Russia is
militarily weak, as a result of the breakup of the old
Soviet system. Actually, this is accurate, but it does
not reflect the complexities. Although the Russian
navy continues to rust in port, and the Russian army
is in disarray, in certain key areas Russian
technology is actually superior to our own. And
nowhere is this truer than in the vital area of
anti-ship cruise missile technology, where the
Russians hold at least a ten-year lead over the US.
The second misperception has to do with our
complacency in general about missiles-as-weapons
probably attributable to the pathetic performance of
Saddam Hussein's Scuds during the first Gulf war: a
dangerous illusion that I will now attempt to rectify.


Many years ago, Soviet planners gave up trying to
match the US Navy ship for ship, gun for gun, and
dollar for dollar. The Soviets simply could not
compete with the high levels of US spending required
to build up and maintain a huge naval armada. They
shrewdly adopted an alternative approach based on
strategic defense. They searched for weaknesses, and
sought relatively inexpensive ways to exploit those
weaknesses. The Soviets succeeded: by developing
several supersonic anti-ship missiles, one of which,
the SS-N-22 Sunburn, has been called "the most lethal
missile in the world today."

After the collapse of the Soviet Union the old
military establishment fell upon hard times. But in
the late1990s Moscow awakened to the under-utilized
potential of its missile technology to generate
desperately needed foreign exchange. A decision was
made to resuscitate selected programs, and, very soon,
Russian missile technology became a hot export
commodity. Today, Russian missiles are a growth
industry generating much-needed cash for Russia, with
many billions in combined sales to India, China, Viet
Nam, Cuba, and also Iran. In the near future this
dissemination of advanced technology is likely to
present serious challenges to the US. Some have even
warned that the US Navy's largest ships, the massive
carriers, have now become floating death traps, and
should for this reason be mothballed.

The Sunburn missile has never seen use in combat, to
my knowledge, which probably explains why its fearsome
capabilities are not more widely recognized. Other
cruise missiles have been used, of course, on several
occasions, and with devastating results. During the
Falklands War, French-made Exocet missiles, fired from
Argentine fighters, sunk the HMS Sheffield and another
ship. And, in 1987, during the Iran-Iraq war, the USS
Stark was nearly cut in half by a pair of Exocets
while on patrol in the Persian Gulf. On that occasion
US Aegis radar picked up the incoming Iraqi fighter (a
French-made Mirage), and tracked its approach to
within 50 miles. The radar also "saw" the Iraqi plane
turn about and return to its base. But radar never
detected the pilot launch his weapons. The
sea-skimming Exocets came smoking in under radar and
were only sighted by human eyes moments before they
ripped into the Stark, crippling the ship and killing
37 US sailors.

The 1987 surprise attack on the Stark exemplifies the
dangers posed by anti-ship cruise missiles. And the
dangers are much more serious in the case of the
Sunburn, whose specs leave the sub-sonic Exocet in the
dust. Not only is the Sunburn much larger and faster,
it has far greater range and a superior guidance
system. Those who have witnessed its performance
trials invariably come away stunned. According to one
report, when the Iranian Defense Minister Ali
Shamkhani visited Moscow in October 2001 he requested
a test firing of the Sunburn, which the Russians were
only too happy to arrange. So impressed was Ali
Shamkhani that he placed an order for an undisclosed
number of the missiles.

The Sunburn can deliver a 200-kiloton nuclear payload,
or: a 750-pound conventional warhead, within a range
of 100 miles, more than twice the range of the Exocet.
The Sunburn combines a Mach 2.1 speed (two times the
speed of sound) with a flight pattern that hugs the
deck and includes "violent end maneuvers" to elude
enemy defenses. The missile was specifically designed
to defeat the US Aegis radar defense system. Should a
US Navy Phalanx point defense somehow manage to detect
an incoming Sunburn missile, the system has only
seconds to calculate a fire solution not enough time
to take out the intruding missile. The US Phalanx
defense employs a six-barreled gun that fires 3,000
depleted-uranium rounds a minute, but the gun must
have precise coordinates to destroy an intruder "just
in time."

The Sunburn's combined supersonic speed and payload
size produce tremendous kinetic energy on impact, with
devastating consequences for ship and crew. A single
one of these missiles can sink a large warship, yet
costs considerably less than a fighter jet. Although
the Navy has been phasing out the older Phalanx
defense system, its replacement, known as the Rolling
Action Missile (RAM) has never been tested against the
weapon it seems destined to one day face in combat.
Implications For US Forces in the Gulf

The US Navy's only plausible defense against a robust
weapon like the Sunburn missile is to detect the
enemy's approach well ahead of time, whether
destroyers, subs, or fighter-bombers, and defeat them
before they can get in range and launch their deadly
cargo. For this purpose US AWACs radar planes assigned
to each naval battle group are kept aloft on a
rotating schedule. The planes "see" everything within
two hundred miles of the fleet, and are complemented
with intelligence from orbiting satellites.

But US naval commanders operating in the Persian Gulf
face serious challenges that are unique to the
littoral, i.e., coastal, environment. A glance at a
map shows why: The Gulf is nothing but a large lake,
with one narrow outlet, and most of its northern
shore, i.e., Iran, consists of mountainous terrain
that affords a commanding tactical advantage over
ships operating in Gulf waters. The rugged northern
shore makes for easy concealment of coastal defenses,
such as mobile missile launchers, and also makes their
detection problematic. Although it was not widely
reported, the US actually lost the battle of the Scuds
in the first Gulf War termed "the great Scud hunt" and
for similar reasons.

Saddam Hussein's mobile Scud launchers proved so
difficult to detect and destroy over and over again
the Iraqis fooled allied reconnaissance with decoys
that during the course of Desert Storm the US was
unable to confirm even a single kill. This proved such
an embarrassment to the Pentagon, afterwards, that the
unpleasant stats were buried in official reports. But
the blunt fact is that the US failed to stop the Scud
attacks. The launches continued until the last few
days of the conflict. Luckily, the Scud's inaccuracy
made it an almost useless weapon. At one point General
Norman Schwarzkopf quipped dismissively to the press
that his soldiers had a greater chance of being struck
by lightning in Georgia than by a Scud in Kuwait.

But that was then, and it would be a grave error to
allow the Scud's ineffectiveness to blur the facts
concerning this other missile. The Sunburn's amazing
accuracy was demonstrated not long ago in a live test
staged at sea by the Chinese and observed by US spy
planes. Not only did the Sunburn missile destroy the
dummy target ship, it scored a perfect bull's eye,
hitting the crosshairs of a large "X" mounted on the
ship's bridge. The only word that does it justice,
awesome, has become a cliché, hackneyed from
hyperbolic excess.

The US Navy has never faced anything in combat as
formidable as the Sunburn missile. But this will
surely change if the US and Israel decide to wage a
so-called preventive war against Iran to destroy its
nuclear infrastructure. Storm clouds have been
darkening over the Gulf for many months. In recent
years Israel upgraded its air force with a new fleet
of long-range F-15 fighter-bombers, and even more
recently took delivery of 5,000 bunker-buster bombs
from the US weapons that many observers think are
intended for use against Iran.

The arming for war has been matched by threats.
Israeli officials have declared repeatedly that they
will not allow the Mullahs to develop nuclear power,
not even reactors to generate electricity for peaceful
use. Their threats are particularly worrisome, because
Israel has a long history of pre-emptive war. (See my

Never mind that such a determination is not Israel's
to make, and belongs instead to the international
community, as codified in the Nonproliferation Treaty
(NPT). With regard to Iran, the International Atomic
Energy Agency's (IAEA's) recent report (September
2004) is well worth a look, as it repudiates facile
claims by the US and Israel that Iran is building
bombs. While the report is highly critical of Tehran
for its ambiguities and its grudging release of
documents, it affirms that IAEA inspectors have been
admitted to every nuclear site in the country to which
they have sought access, without exception. Last year
Iran signed the strengthened IAEA inspection protocol,
which until then had been voluntary. And the IAEA has
found no hard evidence, to date, either that bombs
exist or that Iran has made a decision to build them.

In a talk on October 3, 2004, IAEA Director General
Mohamed El Baradei made the clearest statement yet:
"Iran has no nuclear weapons program", he said, and
then repeated himself for emphasis: "Iran has no
nuclear weapons program, but I personally don't rush
to conclusions before all the realities are clarified.
So far I see nothing that could be called an imminent
danger. I have seen no nuclear weapons program in
Iran. What I have seen is that Iran is trying to gain
access to nuclear enrichment technology, and so far
there is no danger from Iran. Therefore, we should
make use of political and diplomatic means before
thinking of resorting to other alternatives."

No one disputes that Tehran is pursuing a dangerous
path, but with 200 or more Israeli nukes targeted upon
them the Iranians' insistence on keeping their options
open is understandable. Clearly, the nuclear
nonproliferation regime today hangs by the slenderest
of threads. The world has arrived at a fateful
crossroads.

A Fearful Symmetry?

If a showdown over Iran develops in the coming months,
the man who could hold the outcome in his hands will
be thrust upon the world stage. That man, like him or
hate him, is Russian President Vladimir Putin. He has
been castigated severely in recent months for
gathering too much political power to himself. But
according to former Soviet President Mikhail
Gorbachev, who was interviewed on US television
recently by David Brokaw, Putin has not imposed a
tyranny upon Russia yet. Gorbachev thinks the jury is
still out on Putin.

Perhaps, with this in mind, we should be asking
whether Vladimir Putin is a serious student of
history. If he is, then he surely recognizes that the
deepening crisis in the Persian Gulf presents not only
manifold dangers, but also opportunities. Be assured
that the Russian leader has not forgotten the
humiliating defeat Ronald Reagan inflicted upon the
old Soviet state. (Have we Americans forgotten?) By
the mid-1980s the Soviets were in Kabul, and had all
but defeated the Mujahedeen. The Soviet Union appeared
secure in its military occupation of Afghanistan. But
then, in 1986, the first US Stinger missiles reached
the hands of the Afghani resistance; and, quite
suddenly, Soviet helicopter gunships and MiGs began
dropping out of the skies like flaming stones. The
tide swiftly turned, and by 1989 it was all over but
the hand wringing and gnashing of teeth in the
Kremlin. Defeated, the Soviets slunk back across the
frontier. The whole world cheered the American
Stingers, which had carried the day.

This very night, as he sips his cognac, what is
Vladimir Putin thinking? Is he perhaps thinking about
the perverse symmetries of history? If so, he may also
be wondering (and discussing with his closest aides)
how a truly great nation like the United States could
be so blind and so stupid as to allow another state,
i.e., Israel, to control its foreign policy,
especially in a region as vital (and volatile) as the
Mid-East.

One can almost hear the Russians' animated
conversation:

"The Americans! What is the matter with them?" "They
simply cannot help themselves."

"What idiots!"

"A nation as foolish as this deserves to be taught a
lesson"

"Yes! For their own good."

"It must be a painful lesson, one they will never
forget. "Are we agreed, then, comrades?"

"Let us teach our American friends a lesson about the
limits of military power..."

Does anyone really believe that Vladimir Putin will
hesitate to seize a most rare opportunity to change
the course of history and, in the bargain, take his
sweet revenge? Surely Putin understands the terrible
dimensions of the trap into which the US has
blundered, thanks to the Israelis and their neo-con
supporters in Washington who lobbied so vociferously
for the 2003 invasion of Iraq, against all friendly
and expert advice, and who even now beat the drums of
war against Iran. Would Putin be wrong to conclude
that the US will never leave the region unless it is
first defeated militarily? Should we blame him for
deciding that Iran is "one bridge too far"?

If the US and Israel overreach, and the Iranians close
the net with Russian anti-ship missiles, it will be a
fearful symmetry, indeed.

Springing the Trap

At the battle of Cannae in 216 BC, the great
Carthaginian general, Hannibal, tempted a much larger
Roman army into a fateful advance, and then enveloped
and annihilated it with a smaller force. Out of a
Roman army of 70,000 men, no more than a few thousand
escaped. It was said that after many hours of
dispatching the Romans, Hannibal's soldiers grew so
tired that the fight went out of them. In their
weariness they granted the last broken and bedraggled
Romans their lives.

Let us pray that the US sailors who are unlucky enough
to be on duty in the Persian Gulf when the shooting
starts can escape the fate of the Roman army at
Cannae. The odds will be heavily against them,
however, because they will face the same type of
danger, tantamount to envelopment. The US ships in the
Gulf will already have come within range of the
Sunburn missiles and the even more-advanced SS-NX-26
Yakhonts missiles, also Russian-made (speed: Mach 2.9;
range: 180 miles) deployed by the Iranians along the
Gulf's northern shore. Every US ship will be exposed
and vulnerable. When the Iranians spring the trap, the
entire lake will become a killing field.

Anti-ship cruise missiles are not new, as I've
mentioned. Nor have they yet determined the outcome in
a conflict. But this is probably only because these
horrible weapons have never been deployed in
sufficient numbers. At the time of the Falklands war
the Argentine air force possessed only five Exocets,
yet managed to sink two ships. With enough of them,
the Argentineans might have sunk the entire British
fleet, and won the war. Although we've never seen a
massed attack of cruise missiles, this is exactly what
the US Navy could face in the next war in the Gulf.

Try and imagine it if you can: barrage after barrage
of Exocet-class missiles, which the Iranians are known
to possess in the hundreds, as well as the unstoppable
Sunburn and Yakhonts missiles. The questions that our
purblind government leaders should be asking
themselves, today, if they value what historians will
one day write about them, are two: how many of the
Russian anti-ship missiles has Putin already supplied
to Iran? And: How many more are currently in the
pipeline?

In 2001, Jane's Defense Weekly reported that Iran was
attempting to acquire anti-ship missiles from Russia.
Ominously, the same report also mentioned that the
more advanced Yakhonts missile was "optimized for
attacks against carrier task forces." Apparently its
guidance system is "able to distinguish an aircraft
carrier from its escorts." The numbers were not
disclosed.

The US Navy will come under fire even if the US does
not participate in the first so-called surgical raids
on Iran's nuclear sites, that is, even if Israel goes
it alone. Israel's brand-new fleet of 25 F-15s (paid
for by American taxpayers) has sufficient range to
target Iran, but the Israelis cannot mount an attack
without crossing US-occupied Iraqi air space. It will
hardly matter if Washington gives the green light, or
is dragged into the conflict by a recalcitrant Israel.
Either way, the result will be the same. The Iranians
will interpret US acquiescence as complicity, and, in
any event, they will understand that the real fight is
with the Americans. The Iranians will be entirely
within their rights to counter-attack in self-defense.
Most of the world will see it this way, and will
support them, not America. The US and Israel will be
viewed as the aggressors, even as the unfortunate US
sailors in harm's way become cannon fodder. In the
Gulf's shallow and confined waters evasive maneuvers
will be difficult, at best, and escape impossible.
Even if US planes control of the skies over the
battlefield, the sailors caught in the net below will
be hard-pressed to survive. The Gulf will run red with
American blood.

From here, it only gets worse. Armed with their
Russian-supplied cruise missiles, the Iranians will
close the lake's only outlet, the strategic Strait of
Hormuz, cutting off the trapped and dying Americans
from help and rescue. The US fleet massing in the
Indian Ocean will stand by helplessly, unable to enter
the Gulf to assist the survivors or bring logistical
support to the other US forces on duty in Iraq. Couple
this with a major new ground offensive by the Iraqi
insurgents, and, quite suddenly, the tables could turn
against the Americans in Baghdad. As supplies and
ammunition begin to run out, the status of US forces
in the region will become precarious. The occupiers
will become the besieged.

With enough anti-ship missiles, the Iranians can halt
tanker traffic through Hormuz for weeks, even months.
With the flow of oil from the Gulf curtailed, the
price of a barrel of crude will skyrocket on the world
market. Within days the global economy will begin to
grind to a halt. Tempers at an emergency
round-the-clock session of the UN Security Council
will flare and likely explode into shouting and
recriminations as French, German, Chinese and even
British ambassadors angrily accuse the US of allowing
Israel to threaten world order. But, as always,
because of the US veto the world body will be
powerless to act... America will stand alone,
completely isolated.

Yet, despite the increasingly hostile international
mood, elements of the US media will spin the crisis
very differently here at home, in a way that is
sympathetic to Israel. Members of Congress will rise
to speak in the House and Senate, and rally to
Israel's defense, while blaming the victim of the
attack, Iran. Fundamentalist Christian talk show hosts
will proclaim the historic fulfillment of biblical
prophecy in our time, and will call upon the Jews of
Israel to accept Jesus into their hearts; meanwhile,
urging the president to nuke the evil empire of Islam.
From across America will be heard histrionic cries for
fresh reinforcements, even a military draft. Patriots
will demand victory at any cost. Pundits will scream
for an escalation of the conflict.

A war that ostensibly began as an attempt to prevent
the spread of nuclear weapons will teeter on the brink
of their use.

Conclusion

Friends, we must work together to prevent such a
catastrophe. We must stop the next Middle East war
before it starts. The US government must turn over to
the United Nations the primary responsibility for
resolving the deepening crisis in Iraq, and,
immediately thereafter, withdraw US forces from the
country. We must also prevail upon the Israelis to
sign the Nonproliferation Treaty (NPT) and open all of
their nuclear sites to IAEA inspectors. Only then can
serious talks begin with Iran and other states to
establish a nuclear weapon free zone (NWFZ) in the Mid
East so essential to the region's long-term peace and

*The Dedication of the Third Temple

At first glance, most people would agree that the Hebrew
month of Cheshvan, now upon us, is the most drab and
colorless month of the entire year. It is the only month in
which there falls out not one festival or observance, not
one event even of minor significance; not even a public
fast day. The anniversary of the death of our matriarch
Rachel occurs on Cheshvan 11, (this year, this falls out on
Tues. Oct. 26th), and this has traditionally been
considered as the month's single noteworthy day. In light
of the fact that Cheshvan comes on the heels of Tishrei,
the time of the High Holydays, Sukkot and Simchat Torah,
this month seems particularly lackluster. Just last month
we were busy with the shofar, fasting and repentance, the
sukkah and the four species. Where is the special
personality of Cheshvan? Indeed, it is known as Mar
Cheshvan, "Mr. Cheshvan" - which can also be translated as
"bitter" Cheshvan. The prefix denotes a certain formality
or distance.
But in reality, our sages share a most interesting
tradition regarding the true, hidden nature of this month.
Admittedly, at present there are no festive observances
during Cheshvan, yet this will not always be the case...
The Midrash teaches that Moses completed work on the desert
Tabernacle during the month of Kislev. However,
although the Tabernacle was ready, the Holy One, blessed be
He, commanded him to wait with its dedication until
the following month of Nisan, the month of our patriarch
Isaac's birth. But because it felt shunned, the month of
Kislev was embarrassed. And so G-d rewarded it later in
history, with the dedication ceremony of the Second
Temple, held in the era of the Hasmonean priests - during
the epic Chanukah victory.
Following the era of the Tabernacle, King Solomon built the
First Temple and the work was completed during the
month of Cheshvan. But the spirit of Divine inspiration
indicated to King Solomon that he was to hold off the
dedication of the Temple until the month of Tishrei. This
time, it was the month of Cheshvan that was embarrassed.
The Midrash concludes that G-d promised to reward this
month in the future - when it will host the dedication
ceremony of the Third Holy Temple.
Thus according to this symbolic, somewhat whimsical
homiletical teaching, this drab month of "Mar"Cheshvan is
dreadfully dull, but only temporarily so. At present it
hosts no holidays, but it actually boasts a scintillating
future, for
it is only waiting, "on hold" for the great time to come,
the dedication of the Third Temple.
In other words, our sages are conveying the idea that the
promise of redemption as expressed by the continuation
of the Divine service in the Holy Temple, is inherently
locked into the potential of this particular time of year.
But we can delve further into this interesting tradition
and reveal more of its background and origin, and even
deeper levels of understanding and symbolism. Our sages
also reveal that historically, in generations past, this has
been a troublesome month for Israel. In all the various
places of her exile, her enemies always amplified her
distress during this particular month. Invariably, numerous
harsh decrees that were made against Jewish
communities began in the month of Cheshvan.
The Torah itself provides the explanation for this
phenomenon: Long ago, the people of Judah rebelled against the
kingdom of David, and placed Jeroboam son of Navat as king
over them during this very month: "So he offered
upon the altar which he had made in Bethel on the fifteenth
day of the eighth month... " (I Kings 12:33).
Thus we have the key to this entire mysterious cycle. For
the kingship of David is an expression of G-d's
sovereignty, and it is a condition which is most clearly
manifested in the Holy Temple. The Creator, in His ultimate
compassion, always arranges that "the cure precedes the
sickness;" the ultimate rectification for the rebellion which
took place during the month of Cheshvan will be the
dedication of the Third Temple, the ultimate declaration of His
sovereignty and unity, to take place during this very same
month.
And so we see that the idea of Chesvan's alter ego, that of
host to the dedication ceremony of the Third Temple, is
not merely a whimsical, wishful flight of fancy, a fable
about a month being embarrassed. Rather, the concept itself
is an insight into a pattern of ancient historical cycles.
And if we do not learn from these cycles, we are destined
not
to rectify our mistakes, but to relive them.
Are we, in fact, rectifying our mistakes, or reliving them?
Today, we are once again subject to the harsh decrees
that are issued during the month of Cheshvan, here in
Israel. But ironically, today these edicts are not foisted upon
us by feudal landlords or foreign noblemen. They originate
in the government of Ariel Sharon, which is hellbent on
passing its unilateral disengagement plan in Israel's
Knesset this week. For the first time in history, a Jewish
government is threatening to do to the Land of Israel what
heretofore only foreign occupiers did - declare portions of
the Biblical Land of Israel off-limits to Jews. If Sharon's
disengagement plan is legally adopted, Israel will evict
1500
Jewish families from their homes in Gush Katif and
effectively award terrorism with the largest prize it has ever
received.
Can there be a greater rebellion than this? We have now
begun to read the Torah portions relating to our patriarch
Abraham. Abraham was the first true believer in the One G-d
of Israel; he fought for this belief, alone, in a world
sunken in idolatry. He alone declared the oneness of G-d:
"One was Abraham" (Ez. 33:24). He is called Abraham
"the Hebrew" (Gen. 14:13), meaning, "on the other side."
Abraham stood, immovable and impervious to all, on one
side of the world in his belief, and the entire world stood
on the other side. And precisely during this week,
following
the Shabbat in which we read "for all the land which you
see, to you will I give it, and to your seed forever" (Gen.
13:15), the Knesset is scheduled to debate and ratify the
disengagement plan: the implosion and undoing of
Abraham's promise.
We live in a time of spiritual confusion and bankrupt,
immoral leaders. Those who are the last defenders of Zionism
- the sacred value of Jews living in the Land of Israel -
are branded as "anti-Zionist," because they refuse to accept
the empty pronouncements and obscene decisions of the
decayed, decadent establishment. Zionism means
encouraging Jews to live freely in the Land of Israel - not
forcibly removing three generations of Jews from their
homes in the Land of Israel.
But there is great light as well. On the eve of the month
of Cheshvan, an event of tremendous portent took place in
Tiberias, Israel: For the first time in 1600 years, a
movement to reestablish the Sanhedrin gained enough
momentum to gather seventy-one accomplished, learned sages
together in an attempt to reconvene Israel's highest
authority. The Sanhedrin is Israel's supreme body of
legislature and wisdom, responsible not only for legal justice,
but for social justice and social welfare.
This was an act of great symbolism, for as Maimonides
states, after the destruction of the Second Temple, the
Sanhedrin was exiled to Tiberias, and this was the location
of its last session. Traditionally, it will reconvene in
Tiberias, and from there, reestablish itself once again in
Jerusalem.
It remains to be seen whether or not this attempt at
reconvening the Sanhedrin will gain enough recognized status.
Only time will tell. Some regard it with a degree of
cynicism: Are we really ready for the Sanhedrin? Are these
rabbis great enough? Are we really worthy?
These deliberations fall short of the issue at hand, and
are immaterial. The very fact that after so many years of
toil
and fruitless attempts, this session was finally able to
transpire, is itself a sign that reconvening the Sanhedrin is
an
idea whose time has come. If the people of Israel have
given birth to this idea, and if it has originated from their
collective soul and desire, then it will succeed. And this
- during the month of Cheshvan - is the perfect act of
rectification for the mistake of Jeroboam's rebellion
against David. If the people of Israel are disgusted with their
immoral leadership and their sinful, rebellious
disengagement plan, and seek to reinstate the sages of Israel as
Israel's highest authority, this itself is a step towards
the dedication ceremony of the Third Temple.
Another Midrash observes: "Israel showed disdain for three
things: the kingdom of Heaven, the kingdom of David,
and the building of the Temple... Israel will never see a
sign of redemption until they once again desire all three.
This is what the verse states (Hosea 3:5): 'And afterwards
the Children of Israel will return and seek out the L-rd
their G-d' - This is the kingdom of Heaven; 'and David
their king' - this is the kingdom of David; 'and they shall
come
trembling to the L-rd and His goodness in the latter days'
- this is the Holy Temple."
No, Cheshvan's embarrassment, and the future dedication of
the Third Temple, is not some fanciful, whimsical tale.
Every positive step we take is part of this process, a step
leading away from rebellion and closer to the Third
Temple. For we are indeed worthy of all G-d's promises. He
has repeatedly declared that we are. We need only to
convince ourselves.

*Latin America Coming out of US's Orbit

*Sun Blasting off X Class Flares Again

Within the last few days and into just early this morning the sun has
gone bonkers again with several flares of which some are the biggie X
class.

NASA had just announced again that the long awaited solar minimum had
begun. NASA has done this several times over the last 3 years when the
sun quieted down for a few short weeks in an attempt to get people to
turn their heads and attention away from the sun that has been
interacting with several passing and incoming objects, many of which
continue to stream in from the southern hemisphere. This includes some
comets as of late too.

When one solar system of objects meshes into another, as in Planet X
and its entourage coming in from the southern hemisphere, we can't expect
the sun to have a solar minimum. But in an attempt to try to cover it
up the disinfo crew has used anything and everything to divert your

attention, outright lie, and give false explanations.

The most obvious lie is global warming. In other words our dirty little

civilizations polution is causing the sun to effect every planet in the
solar system. Dr. David Hawkins used kenisiology to calibrate global
warming and found out it calibrated at 185. 200 on his scale starts the
level of integrity and truth. 185 represents major BS. I didn't need it
to calibrated to know that is was a lie and neither did you but it was

interesting to find out how it calibrated.

So, how are they trying to cover up the latest round of solar flaring?

current cultural mind set of our civilization in some quantum physics

*RATS INVADE MEXICAN TOWN

Mexican health officials say they have failed in their
effort to deal
with a rat plague in a remote mountain village by sending
in hundreds
of cats.

Authorities in the state of Chihuahua came up with the plan
after the
people of Atascaderos appealed for help in dealing with an
estimated
250,000 rats.

But rodent control expert Alberto Lafon said not enough
cats had been
obtained and some had died soon after arrival.

He said the villagers would just have to learn to live with
the rats.

"At this point, they are going to have to take charge and
learn to
control them," he told the Associated Press news agency.

Residents in Atascaderos asked the authorities for help two
months
ago, saying at least 800 homes had become rat-infested and
traditional extermination methods had failed.

Experts launched an appeal asking people to donate unwanted
cats, in
the hope of recruiting an attack force of up to 700
animals.

In the end, however, they only managed to rustle up a mere
50 cats.

And in a further setback, fears that the cats would not be
able to
survive in the harsh weather conditions of the mountains
proved
justified when many of them died after just a short time in
the
village.

But there is one last hope left for the villagers, say
health
officials.

Javier Lozano, director of health services in Chihuahua
state, told
AP that traditional poisons had not worked on the rats,
because they
had learned to avoid them after seeing their fellow rodents
die.

But he added that the authorities had now ordered a special
poison
that took up to four days to kill its victim.

"Poison that slowly takes effect will be more effective,"
he said.

*Reports on Last Week's Eclipse from Around the World: it Wasnt' Normal!


It was a LOOOOONG and most awesome eclipse from Guadalajara Mexico on a very

clear night. The eclipse started from the bottom up (6 Oclock position|) and

ended at 12 Oclock (positionwise) with the last sliver of bright light being

extinguished. The eclipse lasted almost an hour and a half, meaning the whole

moon was extinguished for that time period, yet still visible and yes, it WAS

a deep orange red in the eclipsed state just like out of Revelation. I

expected the light to start showing from 6 OClock to 12 O Clock just like it

was extinguished but it didn't work that way. Light started showing again

from the 9 O Clock position and worked it's way across from west to east; I

thought that was kind of strange. When it was done the moon was like a

light bulb in the sky. I have never seen it quite so white or quite so

brilliant or the land quite so lighted from it's light.

I am currentñy ooking the eclipse. It is slightly cloudy here in
Arica, Chile, but I have been able o see the show from the beginning.
I am dissapointed because I have not seen any orange or red color.
Only a boring gray that has been turning darker as the eclipse
progress.

I wonder if the gray instead orange or red means something. Also I
saw the eclipse begin earlier than predicted (about 9:30 chilean
time, is GMT -4)

The reports go on and on but the ONE COMMON DENOMINATOR is that "The
Show" started waaaaay early - well over an hour early.

From Washington State:

2. The eclipse as seen from Washington state NEVER COMPLETED which is

OK everyone, in case you missed it as well as I did, due to
an
overcast sky that was so heavy I could not even see where
the moon
was supposed to be.... I was treated to receiving his

days mail....He lives in Lousiana. Here is what he writes:

well I dont know if this is normal, but by my account it

normally when a lunar eclipse happens, the moon is covered
by black.
and the eclipse is vertical, and if the left hand side
began to be
eclipsed first, then the left hand side should get the sun
first
right?. well tonight the eclipse started from the moons
lower left
hand side, at a diagonal angle. when the moon had fully
been covered,
it was not black, instead it was almost blood red in color,
with its
lower left hand side being the darkest shade and it getting
brownish
red all around this spot. however as the moon began to move
out of
the earths shadow, the light was THEN vertical. traveling
from the
right hand side. but the shadow came from the lower left
hand side???
it sounds weird but it is going on right now. I cant
explain it. help
a guy out someone. I did try to score some pics but i
couldnt get any
in that short length of time worth seeing. I have one that
is a blur
and of the bottom left corner that was deep red, in the
telescope
pic, it is on top right, (flip) . I have to find my digital
camera

*LUNAR ROTATION:..THE HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE OF MAN!

Some readers may remember back in the early spring when I
wrote about
the post-full moon,(first quarter waning) rising farther to
the West
with each consecutive night, up until the last quarter
wane, when it
would suddenly shift an incredible amount of degrees to the
north.

(As a point of information, a normal moonrise "shift"
pattern is a
13.5 degree shift to the East with each consecutive
moonrise.)

Nonetheless, the anomaly of this "westward moon rise"
pattern went
on, as regular as clockwork, for 5 months. It continued
"sans cess"
up until the full moon of July 3/4. (Following the
extraordinary
meteor events of Late June.)

After that particular full moon, the pattern of westward
rises
stopped and the phenomena of lunar rotation began. Up until
that
point, there had been NO noticeable rotation.

Beginning with the blue moon of July 30/31 the lunar
rotation was at
once highly visible. Not only that, but the moon, which for
the
entire spring, had been sulking low in the southern sky
during all
but it's last quarter wane, now accended noticeably. The
full moon of
July 3/4 was the highest full moon to occur all year.

From that point forward the 90 degree lunar rotation has
occurred
with high visibility during all but one lunar cycle.

From cycle to cycle, however, the rotation does appear to
differ
slightly in intensity. The moon we witnessesed last night
was an
example of one of the more intense cases of rotation. As
Bonnie
(Freedom) put it:

"I saw it setting early this morning and it had rolled
completely on
it's side. So as it started it was at what, approx 12:00
and 6:00, it
set at 3:00 and 9:00."

...The forces that are creating this celestial anomaly are
not yet
done with their handiwork.

What future they hold in store for we who bear witness from
this
insignificant orb, I do not know.

These celestial energies must be by definition, forces of
great
majesty and power.

For it is a given that to effect such changes still lies
far beyond
the dominion of man.

*The Dollar is in a Waterfall Decline

On October 6th the US Dollar Index closed at 88.48. It
closed yesterday at
84.97, a 4.0% decline in just 12 trading sessions. It is
rare to see such a
rapid, sharp drop in value, so it seems fair to say that
the dollar is in a
waterfall decline.

A 'waterfall decline' is an expressive term, and easy to
envision. The pattern
of declining prices looks like a waterfall, as we can see
in the following chart
of the US Dollar Index -

The Dollar Index broke 87 on October 19th. Since then it
has literally fallen
off a cliff, forming the waterfall pattern. If it takes out
the February 17th
low of 84.92 (and we are only 5 pips above that level), the
Dollar Index will be
trading at lows not seen since January 1996.

Whether this current waterfall decline in the dollar
cascades into Niagara Falls
or ends here, only time will tell. There is no way to
predict what the dollar's
course will be, but we do know its long-term trend is down.

What's more, there are no fundamental reasons now apparent
to suggest that the
dollar is about to change course anytime soon. The trade
deficit is already over
5% of GDP, which doesn't yet even reflect the worsening in
this deficit because
of the sharp jump in the price of imported oil.

My conclusion in the last alert was "that we should buckle
our seatbelts. The US
dollar looks ready for a rough ride to the downside, which
I expect will result
in a rising gold price." That rough ride has begun, and the
gold price has
climbed higher. I expect more of the same.

$26,000 per US person, today it is $57,000!

Coupled with this extraordinary measure is the timing in
that it is
coinciding with the near capacity of the Strategic Reserve.

The `third' part is, of course, the rapidly falling US $ in
overseas
markets that is putting unsustainable pressure on the US
markets.

Put it all together and indeed the `signals' are all there
to batten
down the hatches next week. (No wonder the big oil gave up
on
increasing US infrastructure 30 years ago!)

capacity
between 1981 and the mid-1990s. Between 1981 and 1989, for

behold every vote was for the Democratic candidates except that it

She called the Travis County Democratic headquarters. They took all
her information, and told her that she wasn't the first to report a
similar incident and that they are looking into it.

So check before you leave the polling booth, and if anything is
wrong, get it corrected immediately. Report any irregularities to
your local Democratic headquarters.

Honor the Country by Distrusting the Government

President Bush and his supporters base their case for his
reelection ultimately on an appeal for trust. Bush asks us

Hussein had aluminum tubes intended for making nuclear
materials,
its experts were saying those tubes were most likely for
something else. When all someone can ask for is trust, that
is

Fear of Military Draft a Growing Factor

*ID Rule Exists, But Can't Be Seen

Government lawyers defending the identification
requirement at the
nation's airports from a lawsuit by privacy
activist John Gilmore
admitted in a new filing Wednesday that the
requirement exists, but
argued it cannot be challenged or seen in full
because it is a law
enforcement technique, not a law.

The lawsuit revolves around whether a rule
exists that says passengers
must show their ID to airline agents before
boarding a plane. Gilmore
is also trying to get the government to state
exactly what the rule,
if it exists, says. The government has refused
to confirm that the
requirement exists or show the exact wording.
Justice Department
lawyers offered in an earlier filing to show the
rule to an appeals
court judge in secret without Gilmore's lawyers
present.

The appeals court denied that motion on Sept. 20.

Internet entrepreneur Gilmore first challenged
the constitutionality
of requiring airlines to ask passengers to show
identification in U.S.
District Court in San Francisco in July 2002,
but the government
refused to tell that court whether the rule
existed.

Gilmore argued that the rule is vague, since no
one knows what kind of
identification is adequate and the penalties are
unknown. He said he
opposes Americans being subjected to a secret
law. The rule impinges
upon the right to travel and leaves people open
to unreasonable
searches, he added.

In Wednesday's filing, the government continued
to stonewall about the
existence of the identification-or-search
requirement. The
Transportation Security Administration published
notice of the
identification portion of the requirement in a
little-noticed May 2004
Federal Register filing about maritime security.
That notice, which
expanded the reach of secrecy rules for
information classified as
"sensitive security information," carved out an
exception to secrecy
for cases when the government needs to publicize
a rule to ensure
"compliance."

"For instance, as part of its security rules,
TSA requires airlines to
ask passengers for identification at check-in,"
the filing read.
"Although this requirement is part of a security
procedure that is
sensitive security information, TSA has released
this information to
the public in order to facilitate the secure and
efficient processing
of passengers when they arrive at an airport."

William Simpich, one of Gilmore's lawyers,
questioned the timing and
manner of the TSA's filing, calling it
embarrassing.

"They are trying to hide what they are doing
from the American
people," Simpich said.

The government filed the notice just after
Gilmore's original case was
dismissed, and Simpich claimed the government
hid the notice to avoid
future legal challenges since such orders
generally have to be
challenged within 60 days.

Justice Department lawyers also argued that
Gilmore cannot challenge
the requirement because it is not a law, it is a
law enforcement
technique.

"The identification-or-search requirement is
simply a technique used
to detect possible violations of the law, such
as the prohibition on
carrying a weapon or explosive onto the plane,"
they wrote. "While
passengers have a right to know the law (that
they cannot bring
weapons on board), they have no due process
entitlement to advance
notice of how the Government might attempt to
discover whether the law
is being broken."

Simpich dismissed that argument as absurd
doublespeak.

"Drugs are against the law," Simpich said. "So
blowing through your
house to look for drugs is a law enforcement
technique that you can't
challenge, either."

Gilmore's lawyers have two weeks to file their
reply to the 9th
Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco, which
will then set a
hearing date.

Justice Department spokesman Charles Miller
declined to comment on the
government's brief, calling it "carefully crafted".

While many online newspaper readers are used to
the idea of
registering to read free content online, some
news buffs are
supporting and creating sites that help them
beat the system with fake
or shared login information that helps keep
their personal information
under wraps.

Increasingly, Web publishers, and in particular
newspaper sites, are
demanding that readers give up some of their
personal information --
like e-mail addresses, gender and salaries -- in
exchange for free
access to their articles. The publishers say
they need this
information to make money from advertising. But
anecdotal evidence
and online chatter suggest readers are annoyed
with the registration
process. Some readers enter bogus information,
while others are
looking for ways to bypass the registration
roadblocks.

BugMeNot.com is a site that generates login
names and passwords for
registration sites. The site is a boon to those
who want to keep
online anonymity or stamp out spam. According to
the site's homepage,
14,000 websites have been "liberated" from
registration bondage, and
it's clear many people are doing whatever they
can to avoid really
logging in.

According to the site's creator, an Australian
who wants to remain
anonymous for fear of lawsuits, the site is
getting about 10,000 hits
each day. In an e-mail interview, BugMeNot's
creator said he started
the site in November 2003 after being annoyed
for some time with
forced registration on some sites.

"BugMeNot.com seemed like a good idea because
it's something that so
many people want and it's such a simple concept
to implement," he wrote.

*Beware of Western Union!

We are not sure this is going on everywhere, but a word to the
wise..... if they are doing it somewhere, they may be doing it
everywhere.

We received the following message from a credible source:

Today we were shocked to learn that Western
Union outlets in our area
are turning over data to the Attorney General's
office on a weekly
basis for auditing purposes which means they are
reviewing all client
transactions over $750 in value for criminal
activity and databasing
the data provided to western union by its
customers. They have also
started a training certification program for
store employees who
receive wires to implement this new policy change.

What we found out is that after $750 they are
requiring drivers license,
social security card, verifiable physical
address (no PO Boxes, plus 3 fingerprints.
All this data gets turned over to the attorney
general on a weekly
basis and gets audited for fraud.

They have begun treating all businessmen and
citizens doing
transactions over $750 like criminals.

Western Union is no longer viable for use for
larger legal
transactions unless you happen to like being
treated as a criminal.

*Peeping Tom filter lets phones see through bikinis

Vodafone accessory has 'unexpected' uses

A phone that lets you see through clothes is the
stuff of teenage
boys' dreams - and now it's a reality in Japan.
A third party developer in Tokyo, Yamada Denshi, has
developed an
add-on to Vodafone handsets, intended to be used as a night
filter to allow
Big Red's customers to take pictures with their phones in
the dark.
Unfortunately, the night vision camera has an
unexpected side effect -
in the right circumstances, it allows users to see a lot
more than they
bargained for.
As well as taking snaps in the dark, the Yamada
Denshi infrared filter
sees through people's clothes.
When attached to a high-end camera, the filter can
see though all
manner of garments and is reportedly particularly effective
on dark bikinis.
The handset most often used with the £100 filter -
the V602-SH - is
only available in Japan.
A Vodafone spokeswoman confirmed the peeping Tom
accessory isn't a
problem in the UK. She added that Yamada Denshi is a third
party supplier,
Vodafone's control is limited. "They are not an approved
third party," she
said.
"We would never go to market with a phone with any
kind of capacity to
see people naked."
Camera phone technology has long prompted fears of
voyeurism, leading
several gyms - and even some Scottish schools

- to
ban picture phones in case they were used to take
inappropriate pictures.
Voyeurism with camera phones became such a problem in
South Korea that
the government legislated the phones must make a noise

when
pictures are taken.

That statement appears in a variety of websites, all
boosting Panama.
Most of the sites are connected to and with Bill Bonner's
coterie of
sales efforts. Not a single one of them can back up that
Pinkerton
made such a statement, nor when it might have happened.
Pinkerton
has refused to comment. No one has a record of any such
statement.
