Hello all!
Well, we have finally made it to the Feast of Tabernacles, 2005!
This is one of my favorite times of year, as it pictures the time when peace shall reign supreme on the earth during the Millenial rule of Jesus Christ as King of kings and Lord of lords.
It is also the time when the very nature of animals will be changed, and the lion "shall eat straw like the ox," and the "young child shall play on the hole of the asp," and the lion and the lamb shall lay down together in peace and harmony, and a little child shall lead them.
On this opening day of the Feast, it is fitting that we put our concentration on this wounderful time of peace and happiness and leave the cares of this world behind.
That is why we have prepared a very special Cyber Service for you today!
In continuation of our Tribute to Herbert W. Armstrong, we are taking you back to the Feast of 1984, the last Feast of Tabernacles where Mr. Armstrong spoke.
In place of the sermonette today we are having Mr. Armstrong's 22 minute opening message for the Feast of that year. In this message, Mr. Armstrong gives us the true meaning of this fantastic Holy Day, expounding on its meaning for us today. This message will also remind us what it was like when the work was expanding, and reaching greater heights with each passing year.
Our main message for today is Mr. Armstrong's sermon for that First Day of the Feast. In this message, Mr. Armstrong reminds us how our awesome calling and God's Plan of Salvation fit into this marvelous Feast.

Many people do not understand the awesome meaning of the Day of Atonement, which is on October 13th this year.
This day pictures the putting away, or banishment, of man's arch enemy, Satan the devil!
And with his removal from the world scene, he will be chained and locked in the abyss, or bottomless pit, unable to tempt the nations again until the millenium is over!
Rev. 20 pictures a great angel, with the key to the bottomless pit, descending and putting him there.
But what many people don't realize is that the Old Testament ceremonies for this Day also pictured this event way in the future then, but around the corner now.
This is an important step in God's Plan of Salvation, and is the theme of both of our messages in today's Cyber Services. We invite you to visit with us and enjoy the good music and messages we have placed online for you.

Our Bible study is Part 1 of a 5 part, in depth study of Satan and his wiles, and how we can recognize them, and defeat them, and what this evil monster's final fate wil be. Hello all!
God's Plan of Salvation is a marvelous plan. It has taken millions, if not billions of years to develop, but we now live in the time when major milestones in that plan are about to be reached.
It has not been without its problems. One of those problems was the rebellion of Satan and his angels, but nothing will stop God from accomplishing His purpose, and He is even now on His way to this earth to establish His Kingdom here.
The return of Jesus Christ, as King of kings and Lord of lords, at the final trumpet blast [the 7th trumpet of the Trumpet Plagues], is forshadowed by the Feast of Trumpets, one of 7 annual Holy Days on God's sacred calendar.
This is a day of "clouds and thick darkness," and I explore that topic in great detail in my Clouds of Heaven series in the speculative issues section of our website library.
But Christ will return to this earth with "the clouds of Heaven," and with His great ARMIES OF ANGELS. When they get to the air above our planet, there will be great darkness because of these clouds, and great peals of lightning and thunder will shoot forth from these great clouds as The Destroyer appears above our earth again.
The saints will be resurrected at this point, and those still alive on the earth, as Paul says to the Thessalonians, will be "changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump."
So, the saints will rise to meet the coming Christ and His armies as He descends to this earth from Heaven, but then they will no longer be mortal, but divine god beings, as Paul said to the Corinthians, we shall see Him because we will be like Him, and our bodies will be like His glorious body [see ICor. 15 for a fuller explanation].
And when He finally has descended, "His feet shall stand that day on the Mount of Olives," and He shall fight against the Beast, and the False Prophet and all of the armies of the nations of man, who will think He is an invader from outer space, and will seek to defeat Him and His armies of angels and saints.
But He shall utterly smite the nations, and they shall go down to utter defeat, along with their god, the god of this present evil world, Satan the Devil.
That is what this wonderful Feast of Trumpets mean to us, and our sermon today covers this subject and the entire plan of God in great details.
Today's sermon is the final sermon given by Herbert W. Armstrong before his death, and it was given 20 years ago to this day.
But that message is even truer today than when he gave it then!
